How Spades Scoring Works
Make your team contract and you score 10 points per book bid, plus 1 point per extra book (a bag). Miss it and you lose 10 per book bid. Every 10…
Jokers and deuces high, nil, blind nil and bags. Bots fill any empty seat, so a full game starts now and takes about 15 minutes.

Three taps to the table
Tap Play. No account, no download. You are dealt thirteen cards in a few seconds.
Send the invite link or the five-letter code, or open Spades Night in a Discord voice call.
Bots take any empty seat and hand it back when a friend sits down. A game always starts.
Spades with jokers
Every table starts on House Rules, the way spades is played at the kitchen table. The 2♥ and 2♣ come out, both jokers come in, and five cards sit above the ace of spades. The jokers and the 2♦ count as spades.
Prefer Classic? Turn the jokers off at a private table and the ace of spades is boss again. Read the full spades rules.

4 hands
Every seat deals once and the higher total wins. About 15 minutes; a tie plays one sudden-death hand.
500 or 300
The long game for purists, on a private table. First team past the target takes it.
Private
Jokers, deuces, nil, blind nil, board, bags, 10-for-200, turn-order bidding and blitz clocks are all switches.
Bids are secret and simultaneous: all four lock, then flip together. Thirty seconds to bid, fifteen a card, and a time bank for the hard ones.
Why Spades Night
No ads between hands, no coins, no account wall. Open the page and play.
The kitchen-table game, not the rulebook one: two jokers and two deuces on top of the spades.
Private tables with an invite link or code. Pick your rules, then send it to the group chat.
Empty seats fill instantly, and a bot covers a dropped connection until the player is back.
Everyone bids at once, forced cards play themselves, and a match is four hands.
Laptop, tablet or phone, portrait or landscape, in the browser you already have.

From the table
New to the game? The rules take five minutes. These three turn a first hand into a good partner.
Sit across from your partner and deal 13 cards each. Everyone bids how many tricks (books) they will win, and partners add their bids into one team contract. Follow suit when you can, cut with a spade when you can't. Make your contract for 10 points a book…

Yes. Launch Spades Night as an Activity in a voice channel and everyone in the call can take a seat at the same table.
Two friends can play here: sit as partners against two bots, or as opponents with a bot partner each. The game itself is always four seats, two teams of two.
In House Rules the Big Joker is the highest card, then the Little Joker, the 2♦ (two of diamonds), the 2♠ (two of spades), then the ace of spades down to the 3. The jokers and the 2♦ count as spades. The 2♥ and 2♣ come out so the deck stays at 52.
A trick your team takes over its bid. Each bag is worth 1 point, but every 10 bags costs your team 100 points.
Bidding to take zero tricks. Make it for +100, take a trick and it is −100. Your partner’s bid is scored separately.
A nil bid made before you look at your cards, for +200 or −200. At Spades Night it is only offered when your team is behind by 100 or more.
Taking all 13 tricks in one hand. At Spades Night that is a +200 bonus on top of your contract, not an automatic win.
A quick match is four hands, about 15 minutes, and a tie plays one sudden-death hand. Private tables can play to 500 or 300 instead.
No. Spades, including the jokers and the 2♦, cannot be led until a spade has been played on another suit, unless you hold nothing but spades.

Bots take the other three chairs the moment you sit down. Bid your books, cover your partner, and swap the bots for friends whenever they show up.
